Bothwell Regional Health Center is expanding orthopedics and sports medicine with the addition of a new doctor.

According to a press release from BRHC, Dr. Evan Stout is joining the team as an orthopedic surgeon; specializing in treating adult, adolescent and pediatric sports injuries. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Following residency, he completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Clinic of Kansas City. The clinic provides care for professional, amateur and recreational athletes in the Kansas City area, including the Kansas City Chiefs and the Swope Park Rangers Soccer Club, according to the press release.

Dr. Stout now joins Dr. Douglas Kiburz and Dr. Ryan Kelly Edwards on the Bothwell Orthopedics & Sports Medicine team. The clinic provides orthopedic care and treats conditions involving hips, knees, arms and elbows, feet, ankles, hands, wrist, shoulders and lower back. The press release states the clinic also specializes in joint replacement, trauma and sports medicine, including arthroscopy.

Bothwell Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a partnership between Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in Columbia, Missouri.
