Bothwell to Celebrate ‘World Breastfeeding Week’ at Smallcakes

Bothwell Regional Health Center is sponsoring a “World Breastfeeding Week” celebration on August 1 at Smallcakes in Sedalia.

A press release from BRHC says that the cupcake and creamery shop, located at 3040 Broadway, Suite 390, will provide free mini “smash cakes” and ice cream while supplies last.

Informational materials on breastfeeding will be available from Baby Café, which provides free resources for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, Bothwell’s Women’s Health and Pettis County WIC. The event is free and open to the public.

Bothwell says World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated every year from August 1 - 7 to encourage breastfeeding as a way to improve the health of babies around the world.
