If you have a budding artist in first through fifth grade the Liberty Center Association for the Arts and Cooney Creative Studio are holding their first Arts Academy this summer.

Arts Academy Color Collab '21 promises to be "a week of arts exploration, creativity, COLOR-IFC fun" according to a flyer posted on the Liberty Center's Facebook page. The camp will celebrate the world of color as students attend five small sized classes in visual art, drama and dance every day.  Additionally, students of different ages will work together in larger group settings each day.

Some well known Sedalia area educators will be instructors at the camp including Jordan Fields and Kelly Chapin-Hagen, art teachers at Horace Mann Elementary School and Sedalia Middle school respectively. Instructors also include State Fair Community College Theatre Instructor Ryan Mahannah. Studio A Dance Conservatory owner / instructor Anna Crumley Nelson. And Kelsey Rains, art teacher at Skyline Elementary.

Camp Directors include Krista Kempton, Diane Burnett and Melinda Moore.

The camp will run the week of Monday July 26 from 9:00AM - 4:00PM. Classes will be held throughout the Hayden Liberty Center including the stage and the new upstairs Cooney Studio. Studio fees for the camp are $140 which includes supplies, snacks and a T-shirt. Parents can register their children here or at the Liberty Center Tuesday - Friday from 1:00PM - 5:00PM CDT.
