Carrollton Woman Injured When Wheel Leaves Impala

A Carrollton woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2006 Chevy Impala driven by 42-year-old Henry E. Cowherd of Carrollton was just south of the Route 127 and US 65 intersection at 12:50 p.m. on New Year's Eve, when the front passenger wheel came off the vehicle. The Chevy traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

An occupant of the vehicle, 48-year-old Jennie L. Vanfleet of Carrolton, suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall by SCAD for treatment.

The Impala had extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
