I'm a person who loves movies. I do like to watch them more often at home, but I'll pop on a movie just about any time. Heck, if you want to get technical (and I know you do) I have a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting and Film.  So yes, I have watched a lot of movies in my time. In my  movie watching prime I was getting through two a night.

This week we just celebrated Columbus Day.  To be honest, I'm still not all that sure why we do that.  I mean, sure, for some people it's about Italian pride.  Which is fine.  But really? Christopher Columbus?  It got me to thinking.

You can't avoid em, you're bound to see or hear em everyday: Commercials. Some of them are good and effective, some of them are bad and just plain wrong.  I'm sure you heard back a couple of months ago about the really bad local commercial here in Missouri.

We're all getting older.  Second by second, minute by minute, day by day, week by week, month by month.....  the time keeps ticking along and showing on our faces.  For me, I can't wait.  I look forward to being the old person on the porch screaming at kids to get off my lawn.

Every day I rack my brain to try to think of things for you and I to talk about.  I see what I do on the air as a way of conversing with you - but most of the time it's just me talking.  So with our surveys, I ask, and you answer.

If you asked people 30 years ago what sandwich they ate most . . .  99% would've said peanut butter and jelly.

Every year, there's a new influx of television shows.  Everything from reality to drama to comedy, game shows, contest shows, it's always pretty varied.  Not always are they the greatest, but sometimes one will stick with us.

Unfortunately, we see more and more people who are struggling to get by.  Some of them need help and don't ask for it, and some of them ask for help. But it can be hard sometimes to tell if the person really needs help or is just asking for a handout.

Over the years, our town has grown and changed quite a bit.  It seems everywhere you turn there's a restaurant or a new business or an older business that's moved to a new building.  But I think change is good.

Every day I put up a new survey for our Enquiring Minds question. I'm always trying to think of new topics to get your brain working, and we can interact a little bit together!
