COVID-19 continues to impact the Kansas City Chiefs going into Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Arrowhead Stadium and could postpone the game.

NFL.com is reporting the Kansas City Chiefs placed receiver Tyreek Hill and six other players on the reserve / COVID-19 list today.

The other players put on the list today include tight-end Blake Bell, linebacker Nick Bolton, cornerback Rashad Fenton, offensive linemen Lucas Niang and Kyle Long, and Safety Armani Watts.

Yesterday the Chiefs placed tight end Travis Kelce, kicker Harrison Butker and defensive back Chavarius Ward on the reserve / COVID 19 list according to NFL.com.

If there's one interesting twist to the COVID-19 cases hitting the Chiefs this week is the recently updated COVID-19 protocols that make it easier for a player to return from the reserve / COVID-19 list provided they're vaccinated, asymptomatic, and have two negative COVID tests in one day.

The NFL.com report on Kelce's placement on the reserve /COVID-19 list characterizes Sunday's game against the Steelers as "in jeopardy." And a breaking news report on KMBC's Facebook page says, "There still may be more positive tests to come, with a possible game postponement looking more and more likely with each passing minute."

At this point, without either story citing a source in the NFL or the Chiefs organization, talk of a postponement is just conjecture. As the home of the Chiefs in Sedalia, we here at Awesome 92.3 haven't received any notice from the team's radio network that the game won't be played on Sunday.

One thing, if the Chiefs go into the game with several players on the reserve / COVID-19 list, it may be just that harder to beat the Steelers.
