Members of the Genuine Country Music Association (GCMA) recently presented a check for $15,000 to the State Fair Community College Foundation to fund scholarships for students attending SFCC-Lake of the Ozarks (SFCC-LOZ).

They raised the money Oct. 14 at the sixth annual Classic Country Jamboree benefit at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach.

Over the last six years, the GCMA event has raised $72,860 for its endowed scholarship. This has allowed the SFCC Foundation to award 28 scholarships totaling $14,500 to LOZ students.
