
Clinton Police Arrest Man on Variety of Charges
Early Tuesday morning (July 16), police in Clinton, MO arrested one man on a variety of charges after a traffic stop yielded $7,000 cash and a plastic bag of a crystal substance.
The Clinton Police Department says at approximately 12:20 a.m., an officer observed a motorcycle fail to stop at the posted stop sign of Mill and Fourth Streets.
A traffic stop was conducted and the operator of the motorcycle, Shawn Morlan, was discovered to have his driving privileges were revoked.
A consent search of the motorcycle was reportedly conducted and police located over $7000 in cash, as well as a plastic bag of a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Morlan was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Revoked/Suspended and Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
