Columbia Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

A 72-year old man from Columbia, MO was recently arrested for promoting child pornography.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 72-year old Gary Osborne, of Columbia, was arrested on Monday (June 24).

On Monday, investigators executed a search warrant at Osborne’s residence located on N. Garth Avenue, in Columbia. As a result of the search, investigators reportedly seized child pornography and computer equipment. Osborne was taken to the Boone County Jail.

The Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Osborne with one count of Promoting Child Pornography and three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Bond was set at $50,000.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit. The Patrol was assisted by the Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
