The Cooper County Clerk was arrested Thursday on multiple theft charges.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 66-year old Darryl L. Kempf, of Boonville, on several Cooper County warrants, including charges of Intent to Defraud, Receiving Stolen Property, and Theft.

The Missouri Attorney General's Office filed charges against the Cooper County Clerk.

Kempf was taken to the Cooper County Jail. ABC-17 KMIZ reports that Kempf has since bonded out.

Kempf has an arraignment in Cooper County Court, scheduled for Monday, July 24, 2017, at 9:00 in the morning.
