Eric Monsees:  38, Sedalia, was sentenced on 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) and 1 count of Burglary in the 2nd degree to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count after a hearing wherein the defendant’s probation was ordered revoked.

Jeremiah Jones: 35, Sedalia, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Escape from Custody and Resisting Arrest and was sentenced to 4 years in the Department of Corrections on each. These charges stem from the events occurring on December 18, 2015 when the defendant fled the Pettis County Courthouse after deputies had taken him into custody.

Brett Marler-Norton: 23, Sedalia, was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Forgery and Stealing.

Nicole Porter: 21, Sedalia, pled guilty to the felony offense of Statutory Rape and was sentenced to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

January 19, 2016

Mark Paxton:  50, Sedalia, pled guilty to the felony of Assault in the 2nd Degree.  He was sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections. The defendant will be sent to the Department of Corrections for the term of 120 days with the opportunity for release if there are no institutional problems during that time.

Randall Dawson:  42, Marshall, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Statutory Rape in the 1st degree involving a child less than 14 and 2 counts of Child Molestation in the 1st degree. The defendant was sentenced to 15 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections on each count to be served.
