Crime Reports for September 22, 2016

On Thursday (Sept 22), the SRO at Smith-Cotton High School arrested an 18-year old female student on tentative charges of Making a Terrorist Threat. The suspect was taken to the Pettis County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending formal charges from the Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office. The suspect’s name was not released.

Around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon (Sept 20), Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 4^th Street and South Harrison Avenue, for a minor traffic violation. The driver’s information was relayed to dispatch. Dispatch advised that the driver had a suspended driver’s license. 52-year old Kelly R. Powen was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a court date of October 12, 2016.
