A Saturday morning fire has destroyed a Kansas City night spot, according to published reports.

Davey's Uptown Rambler's Club, 3402 Main, in Kansas City, described as a live music venue, dance club and drive bar, was gutted by the fire and an investigation is under way.

The fire department received a call at 8:23 a.m., and noticed smoke rolling out the back door. The first floor of the two-story structure was fully involved. The upstairs, used for storage, had smoke damage.

KCFD had the blaze under control in about 20 minutes. No one was hurt in the fire, which occurred at 34th and Main. The cause is yet to be determined.
