De Soto Man Seriously Injured after Motorcycle Overturns

A 56-year old man from De Soto was seriously injured early Thursday morning after his motorcycle overturned in Cooper County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at approximately 3:40, on MO-5 just north of Route E.

According to the online crash report, a Harley Davidson motorcycle failed to yield to emergency vehicles, then traveled off the road and struck a field entrance. The motorcycle overturned and ejected the driver, identified as Frank R. Stogsdill.

Stogsdill suffered serious injuries. He was taken to University Hospital, by Staff for Life, for treatment.

The motorcycle was totaled and towed.
