Donations Requested for ‘Tree of Stars’ at Vets Home

01The Veterans Assistance League is asking for donations to the “Tree Of Stars” to make the holidays a little brighter for some 200 veterans who live at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg.

As donations are received, personalized dog tags will be placed on a Christmas tree in the lobby at 1300 Veterans Road.

Funds raised will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for all 200 vets. The goal is $10,000, which will provide one $50 gift to each veteran, according to Latisha Koetting, supervisor of volunteer services. Call her at (660) 429-4661 for more information.
