According to a press release, around 6:30am Wednesday morning, officers with the Sedalia Police Department served a no-knock drug related search warrant at 309 East 13th.

Upon entry, the press release states two adults were detained. During a sweep of the residence by the Sedalia Police K9 Unit, the K9 reportedly alerted to the presence of narcotic odor throughout the residence. A detailed search of the residence revealed methamphetamine, drug packaging materials and supplies, and drug paraphernalia. A further investigation revealed methamphetamine was distributed from the home.

Arrested at the scene was 46-year-old Timothy D. Kelzer of Sedalia, who was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending charges of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Also arrested was 52-year-old Velma M. Bozarth of Sedalia. At the time of the police report Bozarth was in the Pettis County Jail pending charges of possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond on Kelzer was set at $50,000, and Bozarth had a bond of $5,000.
