The 50th annual Loafers Convention is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 a.m., to 7 p.m. at the Green Ridge Community Building.
A silent auction will be ongoing and close by 6 p.m.
A chicken dinner will be served from 11 a.m., to 2 p.m., and again from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10.
The dinner will include chicken, bread, coffee or tea, and your choice of three of the following sides – green beans, cole slaw, potato salad and apple sauce. Dessert is extra, it was noted.
Also available will be sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, chili and chips.
The public is invited to attend and loaf all day, play cards (or game of your choice, bring your own cards & games).
The Green Ridge Chamber of Commerce and the Green Ridge Fire Department will also be on hand at the event.
