Additional Information

An event to benefit Open Door Service Center will be held Saturday, Sept. 7 from 5 to 9 p.m., at the MEC Building on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

“Break Bread, Raise Hope” is an inaugural benefit event for Open Door, 111 W. 6th Street in downtown Sedalia.

Open Door provides food boxes through a pantry, hot nutritious meals at a soup kitchen, and emergency support services to families, and they serve as a community resource center for regional aid organizations and programs.

In addition to basic services, Open Door accepts donations of furniture, clothing, and household items at a thrift shop, and food, hygiene products, diapers, and other items for the pantry.

Table of Five will cater the event, which will include a silent auction, games, a wine pull, “Candle for a Cause” and “Trunk of Treasure.”

Social Hour starts at 5 with a cash bar. Dinner is at 6. There will be guest speakers and testimonials throughout the night.

Admission is $50 each, or $400 for a table of eight.

Call Open Door at (660) 827-1613 to reserve seating, or online at opendoorservicecenter.org.
