The next Pettis County Pachyderm meeting is at 12 p.m. Friday, April 28 at the Heckart Community Center, 1800 W. 3rd, in Community Room C.

Kay Hoflander, vice president of Hoflander Ford in Higginsville, former chair of the Missouri State Republican Party, and award-winning journalist, will be the guest speaker at the Pettis County Pachyderm Club Meeting on Friday April 28 at noon in the Heckart Community Center Community Room C.

Hoflander’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia helped launch a wide-ranging career media career that included stints as a reporter, editor, and columnist.

A recent collection of her columns are included in her most recent book, "Musings of a Baby Boomer. Life Before X, Y, and Z.”

You are welcome to either bring your own meal or enjoy the meal served by the Sedalia Senior Center for $6 each.

Ham and Spinach Quiche will be the featured entrée along with peas and roasted sweet potatoes and a biscuit.  Cinnamon apples or the cook’s feature will be your option for the dessert.
