Kleinschmidt's Championship Rodeo is scheduled for Sept. 18 – 19 in Higginsville.

The event starts at 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Gates open two hours prior to the show.

General admission is $10, Kids ages 6-12 are $5 and kids 5 and under are free.

Scheduled events include bull riding, barrel racing, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling and tie-down roping.

The rodeo at the brand new Kleinschmidt's Arena, located at 19715 North Outer Road in Higginsville (just north of I-70), is sanctioned by the IPRA and the MRCA.

Bring your own lawn chair, blankets and boots to the rain or shine show.

On Saturday, there will be mutton busting and a pre-show starting at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, mutton busting and pre-show will begin at 1 p.m. Get in free on Sunday with a Higginsville or Warrensburg ticket stub.

There will be over $6500 in added money and thousands more in additional prizes at the event. There will be buckles for event winners and the top mutton buster. Call (816) 288-1223 to enter.
