In honor of Women's Equality Day, the League of Women Voters of Sedalia Pettis County is please to announce a voter registration event on Wednesday, August 26th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the Courthouse lawn. On this day 100 years ago, federal law gave women the right to vote, and the League of Women Voters began the task of getting women registered and educated to be ready to vote. Any citizen of Pettis County will be able to fill out the paperwork to get registered to vote in the November election, and others who need to change their address may also do so during that time. Just look for the yellow parasol and "Voter Registration" sign on the lawn. For more information, call Kathleen at 620-1213.
