Additional Information

The Osage Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution extends a public invitation to attend the unveiling of the new veteran's memorial marker on Veterans Drive, Crown Hill Cemetery, Saturday Dec. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

In 1950 Osage Chapter set a memorial dedicated to two Revolutionary Soldiers who settled in Pettis County. Lt. Adam Calhoun Scott and Capt. George Cathey’s original graves were lost to the wilderness and flooding.

Sadly, the original memorial has now deteriorated, and it was necessary to replace it. In honor of the “DAR Celebrate America 250” campaign the Osage Chapter applied and received a grant that helped fund the replacement of the monument.

To commemorate our 250th anniversary with inclusive programs that inspire Americans to renew and strengthen our daring experiment in democracy we invite the public. There will be direct descendants present for this brief ceremony.
