The Warrensburg Elks Lodge, 822 Young Ave., is the location for Camp Valor Outdoors' sixth annual Salute To All Veterans on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a barbecue cookoff, cornhole tournament and Patriot Ride.
The Patriot Riders will come from Warrensburg, Independence and Sedalia.
From 10 a.m. 1:30 p.m., there will be live music, lunch, auctions, kid's activities, a bake sale and veteran resources available.
At 2 p.m., there will be an awards ceremony to honor Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Guest speakers include Col. Don Ballard and Republican Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler.
Also making an appearance will be a Mobile Vet Center and Vietnam-era Huey helicopters provided by Vietnam Vets Chapter 243 from Lee's Summit.
Camp Valor Outdoors is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Honeywell is sponsoring the event.
