The Liberty Center Association for the Arts’ Junior Theatre will present Sense & Sensibility by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen at the Liberty Center, 111 West 5th Street, Sedalia.
It will be performed on Sept. 26 and 27 at 7:30 p.m., and Sept. 28 at 2:00 p.m.
A playful adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable.
Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, the play is full of humor and depth.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students.
