Shakespeare’s ‘As You Like It’ to be Presented at SFCC

The SFCC Theatre Arts program will present “As You Like It” by William Shakespeare Oct. 1-5.
The play will be directed by Kristen Henning, SFCC  theatre program coordinator, and will be presented at the Stauffacher Theatre on the SFCC campus in Sedalia.

“As You Like It” follows Rosalind, its spirited heroine, as she escapes persecution in her uncle’s court and flees with her cousin Celia into the Forest of Arden. There, amidst exile, disguise, and chance encounters, she discovers safety—and ultimately, love.

This Shakespearean pastoral comedy playfully upends the conventions of romance: gender roles blur, politics intrude upon nature, and identities intertwine in a story that captures both the bewilderment and the delight of life.

The play is rated PG.
