There will be a community food donation event Saturday, Oct. 9 in the Tyson Plant Parking Lot, 19571 Whitfield Road, Sedalia, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tyson is donating 40,000 pounds of protein in 20-pound boxes to the public.
The event is free and open to the public.
