Pettis County Health Center will host an event at the Heckart Community Center, 1800 W. 3rd, Oct. 26 from 5 to 7:30 p.m., in Meeting Room C.

The event will focus on the youth vaping epidemic.

The youth conversation will begin at 5 p.m., and the parents and adult conversation will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Registration is available at www.vapetalkmo.com, according to Debbie Freels, FNP-BC, BCBH coordinator for the health center, located at 911 E. 16th Street.

The event is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the Missouri Tobacco Prevention and Control Strategic Plan Workgroup, with funding from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Technical support and grant management services are provided by the Missouri State University Ozarks Public Health Institute.
