Fire officials say a house fire in southeast Missouri killed two adults and a child.

Firefighters responded to the home in Perkins on Wednesday. Scott County Chief Deputy Ron Merideth said 43-year-old Leon Phillips, 40-year-old Jacquelyn Greenway and 10-year-old Casen Shelton died.

The dead included the homeowner, his friend, and his friend's daughter. All three were found in one room on the north side of the house.

KFVS reports fire marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze but there is no indication it is suspicious.

Autopsies conducted indicate that the victims died from the fire and did not have injuries that were considered suspicious.
