Noonday Optimist Secretary-Treasurer Jason Myers estimated that this was the 40th "Respect For Law" for the club.

“We’ve been doing this since the mid-eighties,” he said.

“Every one of the chiefs, directors and even the recipients have all come to me afterwards and said that this was their most favorite event to go to, because they don’t get a lot of honoring a lot of times, so they can bring their families” and have a good  time,” Myers noted.

Guest speaker for the event was Cpl. Clay Moeller, Marine Division (Water Patrol) with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He gave an interesting 30-minute speech to those attending the annual event.

“Everybody seemed to enjoy it,” Myers said of Corporal Moeller’s presentation.

“Our club, we respect what all the recipients and chiefs and all those agencies do to keep everybody safe every day. You just can’t say enough about that,” Myers told KSIS.
