JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Former U.S. Rep. Pat Danner Meyer of Missouri has been appointed as a member of the state's Credit Union Commission. Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon nominated the former Democratic congresswoman for the position. The appointment must be confirmed by the state Senate. Danner Meyer of Kansas City served as a U.S. representative for eight years. She previously worked alongside Nixon in the state Senate.
