Mizzou is preparing for full capacity, in person classes and activities in the fall of 2021.
This announcement comes about three weeks after Mizzou Athletics announced the football team would play in front of capacity crowds at Faurot Field.

“We continue to stay in close communication with our own health experts as well as our local public health officials as we actively prepare for a full-capacity, in-person opening,” MU President Mun Choi said in a University release. “Our thanks go to the thousands of individuals who have helped get us to this point. It would not be possible without the hard work of every member of our campus community."

Additionally in today's announcement, Mizzou says not only is the University planning on full in person attendance at classes. The University is planning for a full slate of activities including the return of concerts. Currently the only concert scheduled for Mizzou Arena this fall is the makegood date for Chris Stapleton's All-American Road Show on Thursday Night October 14. Tickets range from $66.75 to $239.00 if you're interested in attending.

The University says thousands of faculty and staff members have helped keep the campus safe while continuing in-person classes and activities with safety measures that include mask wearing, social distancing and symptom monitoring. The University credits the Mizzou community's compliance with the precautions for helping the University prevent further spread of the coronavirus among the campus community.

The University has set a May 17 date for all faculty and staff to return to campus so their entire workforce can support the Univeristy's full capacity plan in the fall.

“As the numbers continue to remain low, we look forward to getting all of our Tigers back to normal routines and seeing everyone return for in-person, full-capacity classes and activities starting in August,” said Latha Ramchand, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs in the University release.
