The Sedalia Parks and Recreation are always trying new things and getting kids and adults involved in the fun. They're definitely doing a lot of great stuff.  They have events for whole family, and lots of youth and adult sports to enjoy all year.  There are lots of opportunities to try new exercises, like Yoga.   The little ones can start basketball or baseball, and the adults can play volleyball or dodgeball. There's going to be a family fun night, a celebration of Dr Seuss, Easter egg hunts,  Prince/Princess party,  and that's just SOME of what's on the schedule.  I got to talk with Kari Tyler about what's going on, and how you can get in on the fun.

And how about that Text Caster? That makes it so much easier to stay on top of whatever it is you need! You can adapt it to just tell you if the pool is closed, or if your coach cancelled practice, or if the fields are good for playing the kid's games. Perfect! Another thing you might want to think about is possible summer employment with the Sedalia Parks. The American Red Cross Course is March 9 through 19.It’ll be Monday through Thursday, 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at the Sedalia Middle School. Registration is taken until March 6, or until the classes fill, whichever comes first. Fees are $150 per person. You must be at least 15 years of age to take the course, and pass a swimming pre-test. No refunds if you do not pass the class. Successful completion of the class does not guarantee employment with the Sedalia Parks and Recreation. Call the Parks office at 826-4930, visit sedaliaparks.com or email info@sedaliaparks.com.

Parkly yours,
Behka
