Green Ridge Man Found Dead in Truck

On Thursday at 12:39 p.m., Pettis County deputies, Missouri State Highway Patrol and PCAD all responded to 106 Minnehaha Street in Green Ridge on a report of a male sitting in a truck in the street who appeared to have been shot in the head.

Upon arrival, found the male behind the wheel and confirmed that he was deceased.

An investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and the Coroner's Office revealed that the victim was identified as 49-year-old Kevin D. Hayes of Green Ridge.

Hayes died from a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to evidence and witnesses.

No foul play or criminal activity is suspected at this time.
