The Sacred Heart Gremlins kept a clean sheet for 72 minutes but ultimately fell 2-0 to the 10-1 Marshall Owls Saturday, Oct. 29.

Senior goalkeeper Easton Webb recorded 21 saves and the Gremlins turned in their best defensive performance of the year.

A late penalty kick call for Marshall was converted at the 72nd minute to put the Owl's up 1-0.

Down a goal, the Gremlin's went on the attack, trying to equalize in the final eight minutes.

A late counter at the 78th minute thought put the final score at 2-0. The Owls are now 9-1.

The Gremlins are now 6-8 on the year with the Kaysinger Conference Tournament this week, starting on Monday and ending with the championship game on Saturday.


 

On the junior high level, the Gremlins placed third in the Junior High Soccer Tournament over the weekend with two wins over conference opponents.
