The Healthy U grocery store tours are coming to Wood's Supermarket, in Sedalia next month.

Dubbed 'Cooking Matters at the Store,' Healthy U is partnering with the University of Missouri Extension to host the tours. The program is designed to help people learn different ways to shop healthier and more affordably. Also offered will be tips for staying within a healthy grocery budget and ideas for planning meals.

The grocery store tours will take place on Thursday, February 16. There will be two separate tours, that will last for approximately 1 hour each. The first tour will take place at 5:00 p.m. and the next tour will be at 6:00 p.m.

The Healthy U grocery store tours are part of a once-a-month series of community events that are free and open to the public. To sign-up for the grocery store tours, call 660-827-0591, or 827-9138. To keep up-to-date with Healthy U, like their facebook page at, facebook.com/hupettiscounty.
