For many, the Missouri State Fair is synonymous with live music. At least for those of us not involved in agriculture, the most significant thing about the fair is the live music at the grandstand.

For some, that grandstand concert they have tickets for is the centerpiece of the Missouri State Fair. Yet, looking around at the fair you'll find music everywhere. One of those places is The Budweiser Stage, and here's who'll be entertaining you there this year.

The Nace Brothers

The Nace Brothers are local Sedalia favorites and have been playing together as a touring group for 42 years. They've appeared with everyone from Jimmy Buffet to John Hiatt.

Queens BLVD. 

  • Thursday, August 10, 8:00 PM CDT

Hailing from St. Louis, Queens BLVD. is a high-energy cover band that plays rock from the 70s through the 00s. The Missouri State Fair website highlights the group's 80s music, so I'd expect a lot of that at their show.

Clay Clear Band 

  • Friday, August 11, 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM CDT

Local favorite Clay Clear established his own band in 2019 and has become one of the most popular area performers of his own brand of music in the veins of the county and southern rock genres.

SoulRoot 

  • Friday, August 11, 9:00 PM CDT

According to their website, SoulRoot focuses on music that makes you want to get up and dance, or at least sing-along.

Cedar Creek Band

  • Thursday, August 17, 8:00 PM CDT

Great Classic Country Dance music from Missouri.

Honky Tonk Dream

Saturday night seems to be all about Classic Country Music, as Honky Tonk Dream promises to bring the best in Classic Country music back to the Missouri State Fair.

The Supermatics

  • Sunday, August 20, 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM CDT

Kansas City's Supermatics play a mix of dance music, both covers, and originals.

The Vincents

Voted the best band in Kansas City by their mothers, The Vincents play everything from 50s rockabilly to modern hits with shenanigans too.

Madd Hoss Jackson 

  • Tuesday, August 15, 9:00 PM CDT

Madd Hoss Jackson has shared the stage with a variety of artists including Eric Church, The Charlie Daniels Band, Jake Owen, and Blackberry Smoke. They've recently released a new album.

Eastern Heights 

  • Wednesday, August 16, 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM CDT

From Southwest Missouri, the members of Eastern Heights met while performing in Branson. They're a modern country duo with high energy and tight harmonies. The band specializes in modern Country, however, they can also play rock, pop, disco, funk, and Classic Country.

Twisted Fate

Twisted Fate is a five-piece classic rock band with a touch of Country and 90s music.

Travis Martin

  • Thursday, August 17, 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM CDT

Travis is an up-and-coming star in the world of Country music and is building a fan base through cross-country touring. Martin hails from Kansas and has shared the stage with Eric Church, Dan & Shay, Luke Combs, and others.

Phil Vandel 

  • Friday, August 18, 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, August 19, 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM

Singer, songwriter Phil Vandel has toured the world performing his music and plays 150-200 shows a year. Phil has been a band member for several award-winning groups, and his old band Dixie Cadillacs was inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2021.

Dirt Road Addiction

  • Saturday, August 19, 9:00 PM CDT

One of Missouri's hottest bands, and one of the most popular bands that regularly plays in Sedalia, Dirt Road Addiction brings their Southern Rock & Country sound to The State Fair. It's almost tradition to see them at The Budweiser Stage during the fair.

Also gracing The Budweiser Stage this year is the Show-Me Showcase replacing the Homegrown Singer contest. The Show-Me Showcase features after-school rock band lesson programs and is being presented by 16/65 Digital. The Show-Me Showcase is scheduled for 2:00 PM CDT Thursday, August 10 - Sunday, August 13, and Wednesday, August 16, through Saturday, August 19.
