The Homecoming Parade is a long-time tradition in our town and has become a major event for the schools to participate in.
-In the JROTC Program
Every year, we have had our Raider Team, Drill Team, and Color Guard march along and give the public a look into what we do, in hopes that we may gain some future cadets down the road.
Our Raider Team shows off our strongest cadets, and it's always amazing to see what our Raiders are capable of doing!
Our Drill Team follows suit by showing our battalions sharpest and most squared away. Some years, we have showcased both the Armed and Unarmed Teams, allowing the public to enjoy a good show and inspiring the younger generation to join us and become better citizens for themselves.
And our Color Guard leads us in every parade we participate in, representing our country and its national colors. They demonstrate the professionalism and discipline that we learn in JROTC and help the public understand how our program creates and shapes leaders. To show we are the future.
Our Color Guard then went on to kick off the Homecoming football game. Good job, girls!
All of our cadets in JROTC make us proud; however, the real hard work is what people don't get to see, and that's what goes on in our classroom(s), and another great way to keep on track and practice is through music.
KSIS is a Supporter of our JROTC program and is an excellent Radio Show to listen to.
Our Raider Team listens to music while they practice, and so does our Drill Team. It helps with the focus and determination that we need before competing and going through our ups and downs. It's something people can always count on!
Thank you, KSIS, for helping our program with your support, and thank you for helping others stay focused and determined throughout their day.
Now we have Cadet Ryan Logan telling us about his experience in our program and how he felt during the parade,
“At the homecoming parade, I felt honored to be part of the parade. In my opinion, I thought everyone looked good and did a good job. The JROTC program has helped me with my confidence, to never give up, and to have a strong work ethic to meet and make friends with a lot of different people.”
Thank you, Logan, for participating and letting people get to see a little bit more inside our program and how it makes you feel.
Thank you, KSIS
And always,
GO JROTC TIGERS!
