Howard County Double Fatality Reported by Patrol

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a double fatality accident that occurred in Howard County on Sunday afternoon.

27-year-old Timothy J. Mackenzie, Jr., of Tipton, was the driver of an eastbound 2013 Chevy Camaro on Route J, west of County Road 318 at 4 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Mackenzie and his passenger, 18-year-old Haden T. Singleton of Columbia, were pronounced dead at the scene by Howard County Coroner Frank Flaspohler at 4:30. Neither were wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

The Camro was totaled.
