Independence Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control says a 64-year old Independence, MO man has been arrested for promoting and possession of child pornography.
A press release from the MSHP, says the arrest of 64-year old Bradley E. Vader, was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit.
On Tuesday (Jan 9), investigators executed a search warrant at Vader’s residence located on Ralston Avenue, in Independence. As a result of the search, investigators reportedly located child pornography and computer equipment used to commit the crimes.
Vader was arrested and taken to the Independence Police Department. The Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Vader with 1st Degree promoting child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography. Vader's bond was set at $25,000.
The Patrol was assisted by the Independence Police Department.
