One of the things that me and the peeps got to go to last weekend was something I'd been looking forward to for a while: the 14th Annual German Dinner! It was held last Saturday (Oct. 26). The Immanuel United Church of Christ at 4th and Vermont hold this dinner every year with sauerbraten, German potato salad, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, polish sausage, sauerkraut, homemade applesauce, green beans, beets, hot rolls, salads, desserts and drinks.  I brought my boyfriend and his two kids, who were skeptical at first, but won over quickly.

Another great thing was that all of their profits were going to a great cause.  Proceeds go to the IUCC church needs, youth, CASA and the Festival of Sharing.  I know that at very least I ate myself silly.  Make sure you don't miss it next year!

Bratwurstily yours,
Behka
