
The MR340 is Ready to Race Across Missouri
Ever wonder what it would be like to paddle a kayak along the Missouri river from Kansas City to St. Louis? Many have, and they have been competing in the world’s longest river race for the last twenty years.
340 Miles across the Show-me state
The MR340 starts at Kaw Point in Kansas City where the Kans River flows into the Missouri River and follows the Missouri river all the way east to St. Charles, Missouri.

There is no stopping. You can row, paddle, or rest and let the current take you along. You can use a kayak, a canoe a paddleboard, rowboats and even pedalboats. You have 88 hours to complete the route. There are checkpoints along the river you have to check in at, but there are time limits for those checkpoints too.
This year there are contestants from 32 states including Washington DC, and a couple rowers from Germany are getting into the Missouri River this year. There are 16 different divisions. From individual men and women, tandems and team divisions of various sizes.

The fastest solo time is 36 hours and 39 minutes. Fastest tandem time is 34 hours and 34 minutes with the fastest overall time coming from the voyager class with 33 hours and 1 minute.
