Travel Not Advised in Parts of Missouri Due to Slick Roads

Missouri roads are not in good shape after a late season winter storm which has prompted a warning by state officials to avoid travel if possible or take extreme caution.

The Northeastern District of the Missouri Department of Transportation just shared this graphic this morning showing most roads in the region are either snow covered or have ice in places.

Temperatures are expected to stay below freezing for the next couple of days before a big warmup begins. The odd thing about waking up to icy roads is that temperatures are expected to soar into possibly even the 70's by the end of the week. If you do need to travel today, it's advised that you check the Missouri Department of Transportation road condition map first to get the latest update.
