I’m not the biggest Valentine’s Day person. Maybe it’s because I’ve had the same Valentine for more than 20 years, but whatever the reason, it’s usually just another day for me. The Show-Me State also ranked near the top of all 50 states as one of the most romantic in the country. The rankings were based on things like marriage proposals, love letters, romantic music, and anniversary planning.
Valentine’s Day Planning Tips for Missourians
So whatever your plans are for this year’s Valentine’s Day, which falls on a Saturday, keep in mind that restaurants will be booked solid and flowers will be in short supply. But if you plan, cook dinner at home, and finish the night with chocolate-covered strawberries for dessert, it could turn into a nice, quiet, romantic date.

And for many people, that means even more than getting all dressed up and dealing with crowded restaurants.
