Chain with 15 Illinois Places Famous for Waitresses in Bankruptcy

There is good news and bad news for a chain that still has 15 Illinois locations. Well, mostly it's bad news as they are now in bankruptcy, but this chain known for its waitresses could still have light at the end of the tunnel.

Bloomberg Law reported just a few days ago that Hooters is now in bankruptcy court. The Hooters restaurant locator page still shows 15 locations in Illinois as of this writing.

What will bankruptcy mean for the remaining Illinois Hooters locations?

Reports say that there are no immediate plans to close any Illinois Hooters locations and your gift cards will still work. There are no reports of staff layoffs, either, but there will be big changes.

What changes are coming to Hooters?

Fox Business is reporting that there will be no more bikini nights, but there will be more charity events. Is it possible that Hooters has turned over a new less exploitive leaf?

Bankruptcy court can be an interesting process so we'll have to see what Hooters looks like on the other side of it. Hopefully for the Illinois locations they will remain open and none of their waitresses will lose their jobs.
