This Missouri Roller Coaster Will Be Closed For 2025!
The news broke late yesterday afternoon after coaster enthusiasts on the Worlds of Fun dot org Facebook Group noticed a little note on the Worlds of Fun website under the page dedicated to the theme park's wooden roller coaster Timber Wolf. The roller coaster will not be operating for the park's 2025 season per the park's website. Other theme park related Facebook pages noticed too, like the FUN food blog page:
A Brief History of Timber Wolf
According to Worlds of Fun, Timber Wolf opened in 1989 as one of the top wooden roller coasters in the world and remained one for most of the 1990s. In 2015 and 2016, the coaster's track was re-engineered from the top of the first lift to the first bank and up to the beginning of the helix. A new twist was added at the end of the ride.

What's Next For Timber Wolf?
Officially, the only thing we know about Timber Wolf is that it won't operate this season at Worlds of Fun.
Logan Schell, a top contributor at the Worlds of Fun dot org Facebook Group, contacted the theme park curious to see what they'd tell him about the closure. They didn't address the ride being closed, however, they said "At this point in time we don't know anything about the Timberwolf being removed."
That hasn't stopped the park's fans from speculating about the coaster's future. You can read what some fans think by joining the page and checking out the post here.
Generally speaking, when a park announces a ride will be closed for the season, there's either some major problem that requires a significant fix. The ride is undergoing a major refurbishment, or the park has decided it will be removed for a new ride or attraction.
It looks like we'll have to wait and see what's next for Timber Wolf at Worlds of Fun.
