Jack Wittman, 87, of Otterville, MO, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.  He was born on July 23, 1927 in Cooper County, MO, a son of Henry and Arizona (Rogers) Wittman.

On May 29, 1952 in Smithton, MO, he was united in marriage to Patsy Sprinkle, who survives of the home.

Jack retired from Howard Construction in 1994 after 38 years of dedicated service. His favorite past times and hobbies were working and keeping busy helping his family. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church in Otterville, Missouri. He served his country honorably in the United States Army through the Korean War.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Terry Wittman (Peggy) of Smithton, Randall Wittman of Otterville, and Tammy Watring (Travis) of Otterville; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Schupp and Catherine Wittman; three brothers, Charles Wittman, Harold Wittman, and Robert "Bob" Wittman; two grandchildren, Tracie Gibson and Austin Watring; and one great-grandson, Eli Gibson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Russ Slocum officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Cooper County, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Greg Wittman, Scott Wittman, Nathan Wittman, Tim Wittman, Justin Wittman, and Preston Wittman.

Honorary bearers will be grandchildren, Andrew Wittman, Whitney Watring, and Yvonne Gibson; and family friends, Doug Davis and Delton "Dude" Jones.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Otterville, Missouri, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
