Jefferson City Man Arrested For Child Pornography

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control arrested 39-year old Nicholas E. Fitzgerald, of Jefferson City, Missouri, for possession of child pornography.

Fitzgerald was arrested Wednesday (Sept 21), after a lengthy investigation conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit.

On Wednesday, investigators served a search warrant at Fitzgerald’s residence located in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street, in Jefferson City. As a result of the search, investigators located child pornography and computer equipment used to commit the crime. Fitzgerald was arrested and transported to the Cole County Jail.

The Cole County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Fitzgerald with 17 counts of felony possession of child pornography. Fitzgerald is being held with an $80,000 bond.
