Johnson County Rollover Claims Life of One Driver

A one-vehicle wreck in Johnson County claimed the life of a Booneville man Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 12:30, on MO-13, just south of SE 650 Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2007 Freightliner traveled off the roadway, then over corrected and returned to the road. The driver over corrected a second time, which caused the Freightliner to overturn and strike a utility pole. The driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, 60-year old Delmer T. Nichols, of Booneville, was killed in the wreck. The body was taken to Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home.
