Johnson County Wreck Injures Two From Warrensburg

A Johnson County wreck earlier this morning injured two Warrensburg residents on Route DD.

The MSHP reported that a 2013 Chevy was stopped in traffic at 7:30 a.m. on DD, 923 feet west of Missouri 23, when a 2011 Nissan, driven by 39-year-old Erica S. Cousins of Warrensburg, crested a hill, slowed and attempted to avoid impact, but struck the rear of the Chevy, driven by 50-year-old Walter A Farwell of Warrensburg.

The Chevy came to rest on the south side of the roadway, while the Nissan ended up blocking both lanes of Route DD.

Cousins had minor injuries and refused medical treatment, while Farwell suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center by Johnson County EMS. Both drivers were wearing safety devices.

The Chevy had moderate damage, while the Nissan was totaled.
