Smith-Cotton High School senior Jorge Pascual has accepted a scholarship to perform in the band program at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

Pascual, the son of Adelaida Ubaldo and Jorge Pascual, is a three-year letter winner in the Smith-Cotton band program, where he has served as Trumpet Section Leader.

He was selected for the All-District Band and All-District Jazz Band, and earned a Gold rating for his district solo performance.

S-C Director of Bands Andrew Fischer said, “Jorge has come so far from the time I met him in the 8th grade. I am blown away by his perseverance and determination to improve. He has become a leader of our band program and has shown an incredible improvement in his time at SCHS to become one of the strongest trumpet players I have had the privilege to teach.”
